Re: Medical Aid to Prisoners |
|
No, human rights is for all humans. There can not be a selective interpretation. Courts will decide on punishment after judging. Until the court process is over- the accused is to be considered innocent. Visiting prisoners is not a crime. Did doctors refuse to see Bhagat Singh or Nelson Mandela or Nathuram Godse? Since you are not a doctor, you may not understand that medical ethics insists on fair treatment of prisoners by ALL doctors. Similarly a hospital can not refuse to give first aid to an accident case. -the Ramakrishna Mission and the PUCL would be banned or condemned in court a long time ago if you were correct. What about Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (who met Dr Binayak Sen in jail)? The surgery of the patient in Raipur was done by the Government Medical College (next door to the jail) after they were informed by Dr Sen.
