First of all, i would ask "Why should there be one god?"..
The concept of One god is a forced one among the people, either
physically or mentally or intellectually..

The beauty of Hinduism is that anyone can his own god, to his own
likings and to his own way of worships.. and this is exactly, what
caste system provides to hinduism because of which, the inherent
nature of acceptance is exhibited..

If we consider the structure of caste system, each caste was composed
of many gulams (sub-sects), where each gulam has their own gula deivam..

So, the primary god of any person in Hinduism is his Gula Deivam,
which is believed to be directly protecting his family and its progeny..

Also, it is to be noted that, that the gula deivam is none other than
the ancestors of that particular family, or the kings of the community
they belong to..

Many of the present day hindu leaders, and even spiritual gurus, do
not understand this properly or their voice not conveyed properly..
And because of the effects of islam and christianity, the hindu
leaders had developed the mindset of one god, concept, and due to
this, they are at odds with the reality..

I would also like to share a real life incidence that my family had..

One of the missionary person came to my uncle's house, and said, "You
Hindus are worshipping thousand gods.. but we have only one god"..
And for that my uncle replied like this..
"Even though, we have thousand god, we have only one god per gulam..
but even though you have only one god, you have so many divisions, out
of that one god"..

IF i would have been there, my reply would be "We have so much gods to
protect us.. but you have only one god,.. we are proud that we are NOT
short of our gods "..

So, lets leave off the One God concept.. IT is the root of all
religious wars, and religious genocides..

Humans are diverse in nature, and they need different forms of god and
spirituality.. forcing one god is against that very basic nature itself..
