Corportate India needs to be subjected to ecological audit of their endeavours and we need to stall their acquistion of farmers lands for creating ecologically unsustainable habitats. They need to be regulated with strong policy measures. It is not only Modi but other political parties as well who have been ignoring the ecological limits and supporting the loot of ecologically sustainable habitats. We should call the unregently integrating the principles of ecological sustainability while supporting the cause of inclusion for ecologically safe livelihoods. There are already plans for post carbon cities in US and Europe and we need to get the learning integrated for halting imitiation of GHG emitting energy intensive habitats, consumption ,production and transport patterns. We may call for protecting the interests of the children of 40th century and then understand that we would not be able to sustain ecologically hostile modes of consumption, production and transport. Dr.Muhammad Mukhtar Alam During 1927-1933 in Gemany, capitalists wanted Hitler to rise in power because it seemed nobody except Hitler could give that kind of strong leadership. Recently in India, we saw Ambanis, Tatas were all in praise for Modi to make him prime minister of India because Modi is outperforming other chief Ministers in industrial development. However, this also happened to be a very well known trademark in Fascist history that Fascism rise to power with promise of faster development.
Prof Puniyani recently wrote an artice on the same topic and therefore, I decided to interview on the same to illuminate our readers on danger of Hindu Fascism. However, I also think, while blaming Hitler and Modi, we also forget pathetic failure of the leftists in both communal and development front which paved the way for Fascism more easily. __._,_.___
