Dear Members, Only one thing bothers me and that is how come the TV channels were ready with their cameras to film such an event. Obviously they were informed by someone in advance. Why didnt' the media inform the police instead of waiting for the event to happen so that it could be filmed and broadcast all over. For what? Roopa Sharma If AKshay Kumar or Aishwarya Rai are our role models, I dont know where are we heading? The selection of ordinary actors has made me feel ashamed of our selectors. At the most they could have been awarded recognition by some filmi organisation or Zee TV etc. but giving them the padma is ridiculous. In these times when the educated middleclass is already losing its mind in Malls and consumerism, instead of choosing some higher people with dedication or commitment to something better we have chosen them!!!! DId they not have anybody else to encourage. THe idea behind giving an award is to set an example for others , to acknowledge an extraordinary achievemenat, to reinforce the values and deeds of the prize winners and to encourage them and others of our nation to follow in their footsteps.
