The values on which the Socialism of the 21st century should be based are : unity, equality, cooperation, co-existence, commonality, consensus decision making.

I think you got too much carried away by the present economic scenario.
Socialism is nothing but a sugar coated communism. And, both are failed theories. Not even worth a try anywhere.
Let me take one by one the qualities of socialism that you mentioned
Equality:
Equality among the people of this world is a mirage. Go anywhere, raise a herd of sheep or a batch of lions, or a pack of dogs, and, a crowd of humans and see how differently they grow. Even two co born are different. Socialism does not recognize this inherent truth about creation. The truth is ," Every living being is unique"
Unity: (also consensus decision making)
Every human is bestowed with his/her own discrimination and that , combined with his own uniqueness, leads to individual decision making. Any interference in this by some outward agency is clear fascism and enslaving.
Co operation:
Co operation is an invented word. I would rather use the term 'compassion'. This is an inherent trait of humans and even animals. Socialism is out there to destroy it only. How ? The fundamental premise on which socialism stands is to create equal opportunities.
Consensus decision making:
This is another fraud on the society. Consensus is the worst form of fascism. See this post.
Dissent is democratic, consensus is fascist

Whatever a society does by overruling an honest, law abiding citizen is clear, outright fascism. You mention 'consensus' and you are fascist at once. By this token, the most vocal proponents of communism and socialism are themselves fascist and ironically , it is they who are equally vocal on others being fascist. Please tell this group whether any decision of the communist parties have been taken by consulting a grassroot worker.
Co existence:
Socialism is anything but co existence. It is clear parasitic in nature. It wants to feed the lazy with the money earned by the productive and the innovative by FORCE. Is this co existence ? Is it not a concentration chamber for the elite ?
To conclude, Socialism is dull, outright fascist, and inhuman. The irony is that the parasites of society cloak it with the cow skin while a cunning fox lurks underneath.
Whenever you think of an antidote to capitalism do not fall back into the socialist gutter , but look elsewhere. Where ? This post will help you where. But I am at hand to answer should you find this questionable.
