Mr Asghar Ali wrote the truth which I believe so called Imams will not acceptatall. The Muslim community is the most backward in advanced and normal education in the world. Nobody really wants to implement the noble principles laid down in the Quran. Today I read for the Newspaper that an old man of 60 years married with a girl of 10 years which Saudi Court accepted as legal marriage. The so called Kings and authorities of Muslim countries interpreted the Quran or Shariat in order tokeep their power intact, Until and unless the most modern education is not imparted to Iskamic followers, one day they will become laughing stock of others. In Kerala there is a lot of difference among the Muslims because of their advanced education. I congratulate Mr Asghar Ali for bringing the reality and truth which I believe will open the internal eyes of those Imams and scholars of Islam community. If you sincerely look into the society, nobody from other communties likes the Muslim believers for any united action or for any social activities. Practically, the women especially in the Arab and Asian countries do not possess any freedom. If you talk about Afghanistan, the main opinion of others about this country is a barbaric and most backward nation in the world. Taliban is another symbol for the inhuman treatment meted out to its followers.

As far as I know nothing is wrong with Our Muslims, but the fact that many are taking advantage and acting dumb and stubborn where new and modern methods should be applied in the year 2009: Its high time they are taught to behave as Indian Citizens first and last.No way are they different where the constitution is concerned.All are equal in the eyes of Our Nation. No one can stand aoof and shout from the roof top that They are special or to be treated as first class citizens etc.,. All Our Muslims must be ready to accept changes for teh best development in our environment of todays world.Follow the right path, and unite to stand against outside instigations, and never join or take sides where they are pointed out as problem makers. No prayer is acceptable by God if one uses the prayer to wash away repeated sins in general.

My dear Asghar Bhai, You have asked some bold thought provoking questions to the Islamic community.I think right thinking intellectuals,scholars and thinkers in each religion should ask similar questions to themselves and to their own coreligionists without fear.In Hinduism also we have many people who generously and thoughtlessly use the term Hindutwa without understanding what it actually means.The social reform movements started by some great Hindu monks and thinkers in the past has stopped.So more or less, almost all major religions in the world have moved away from their philosophical fountain head, thanks to their self appointed clerics and fanatic followers.There are sensible and couragious people like u in all the religions and they need to come together on a common platform to raise their voices.of sanity.
Dear Dr Khan, Your analysis is very objective, informative and educative.India needs more people like you and Asghar Ali Engineer to put Islam in true perspective.I think it is time we educate our children about positive aspects of each other's religion and send our ignorant mullas, pundits and priests to study centres on comparative religions and philosophy.
