Subject: - Invitation for Nomination for Ashok Babu Paribesh Mitra Puraskar, Ashok Babu Smruti Sammana Puraskar and Ashok Babu Ajiban Paibesh Sadhaka Puraskar for the year 2008-09 Dear Sir/ Madam Greetings from Vasundhara! In the cherished memory of our beloved Director Late Ashok Babu, one award namely Ashok Babu Paribesh Mitra Puraskar has been instituted since 2003-04. The award aims at honouring the collective initiatives of the communities in the field of environmental protection and conservation, which carries a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-(Ten Thousand) and a citation. Subsequently, two other awards have been instituted for the individuals namely Ashok Babu Smruti Sammana Puraskar meant for the individuals who got physical disability or lost life while working in the process or on duty and Ashok Babu Ajiban Paibesh Sadhaka Puraskar honouring to the individual with lifetime devotion and significant contribution made in promoting and popularizing environment conservation, protection and management initiatives. These awards also carry a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-(Ten Thousand) and a citation each. On the birth day of Late Ashok Babu (10th January), we organise the award ceremony along with a lecture on "Environment Conservation and Development".
