This is clearly a statement as idealistic as ever. May be because most signatories to this statement are very honourable indeed and have been our leaders and see the world through the lenses that saw their peak some decades ago. We need the eyes of the future to take us beyond the mess we are in. Its much like looking through the wrong end of the telescope. With due respect to the honorable eminent citizens, I would urge a global team- rather than just some of us who are so close to the ball that they can hardly get a sense of what they are dealing with- to study, understand, benchmark and come up with some foundational recommendations to bring about realistic and transformative changes in our system.
