The news that you have gone through in Tehelka " When brother fights brother" is the result of a deep rooted conspiracy to destroy tribals and their villages on which the eagle eyes of the industrial corporations have fallen to dug iron ore. Salwa Judum is practiced by few persons with vested interest who are pulling the strings from behind the curtain. Salwa Judum means peace mission but not a single day passes when there is no bloodshed. Salwa Judum president is a Muslim fellow, treasurer is a business community person nominated by the businessman of the area. They have nothing to do with the tribal culture or making peace but they as the pet dogs of their bosses are behind the blood of tribals.
Now to answer your next question - " Why is it that the tribal themselves have got bifurcated in two parts, one as Naxals and the others as Salwa Judum and are killing each-other? From the above it must be clear to you that who runs Salwa Judum and why?. The fact is that with the use of force, armed with deadly weapons, by coercing the poor tribals Salwa Judum militia wrecks havoc on the tribals by raiding one village after another, forces the tribals to desert the villages and take shelter at the state run relief camps. Those who deny or take leadership are not only severely assaulted but even killed. Houses are burnt, belongings looted, terror is unleashed that results in those poor tribals no choice to surrender to those goons. State proudly announces the deserting of the villages and taking shelter to relief camps as a spontaneous movement of the people to join them. This is the truth of Salwa Judum. You have also stated that the matter remains unexplained and curious, then you must know some hidden facts to know who are pulling strings of the state government also! Salwa Judum that forces the tribals to desert their villages one after another, started on 5Th June, 2005 that is exactly within 24 hours of state signing MoU with Tata Steel who have plans to set up a five million ton per annum steel plant in Bastar and the area where the Salwa Judum is practiced is rich with iron ore. The situation may now be easier for you and your readers of Nutan Satta Pravah, I believe. I have just opened one chapter but there are many chapters that are written in red with blood of poor innocent tribals. nearly 700 villages have been destroyed.
