Engaging the Diaspora: the way forward
The Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, Government of India, in partnership with the Government of NCT of Delhi and the Confederation of Indian Industry, is organising the 8th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, scheduled from 7- 9 January 2010 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.
The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas – the annual flagship event of the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, aims to connect more than 25 million overseas Indians and bring the expertise and knowledge of the Indian Community abroad to India to contribute and integrate into India's growth process. PBD 2010 will also provide an opportunity to all to network and develop a robust and rewarding relationship. The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas traditionally sees over 1200 overseas Indians participating in the event.
The highlights of the Pravasi Bhartiya Divas 2010 include:
Ø A three day Convention, featuring diverse themes with eminent speakers
Ø Trade and Industry Exhibition
Ø Business Networking
Ø Cultural Evenings
The Pravasi Bhartiya Divas will be widely promoted all over the world through print and electronic media partnerships with newspapers and channels and also through the numerous Indian associations. Road shows will also be organised ensuring wide publicity of the event.
The Pravasi Bhartiya Divas will give you a unique platform to access not just the delegates at the conference but many more overseas Indians who would come in contact with the publicity campaign.
Coinciding with the event, an Exhibition is also being organised focusing on key sectors like Technology, Financial Services, Handicrafts, Fashion, Consumer Goods, Real Estate, Engineering, Tourism, Education and Entertainment, Investment. There would also be various States' participation at PBD 2010.
The benefits of participation at the Exhibition are:
- The Exhibition will provide an exclusive showcase of India to Overseas Indian delegates comprising the largest gathering of the Global Indian Family. More than 1000 Overseas Indian delegates from across 45-50 countries are expected to participate and provide a focused target audience for the exhibitors.
- Apart from these NRIs/ delegates, Chief Minister, State Ministers, other Ministry / Government officials, bureaucrats, special dignitaries would also be present at PBD 2010.
- Each exhibitor will get one delegate free of cost who can attend two-day conference including Inaugural and Valedictory function, cultural evenings and dinners. They can also nominate more delegates on payment basis.
- One page write up of all exhibitors will be printed in the Exhibitor Catalogue which would be circulated among all delegates and special invitees.
