Dear All,
We would like to give our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the victims and the fallen brave of last week's horrific attacks in Mumbai. It is India's right to launch a military strike against the terrorists in the wake of this sea born attack on the financial capital of India. Terrorism is a crime against humanity and the terrorists must be put out of business forever. India and Pakistan must unite and fight religious terrorism within their borders, only then can there be peace and stability.
There is no doubt, in a conventional war against Pakistan-alone, India would have the military and logistical upper hand. However, at the same time, we cannot ignore Pakistani nuclear capability and its close ally, China, who views India as a threat to its super power status in Asia.
The majority of the hijackers in the 9/11 attacks were Saudi Arabian citizens but the U.S. never declared war against the Saudi kingdom; instead they mobilized international support to go after the terrorist bases and their sponsors. The U.S. could have done it without any outside help but that is not the American way—they used diplomacy to declare the war on terror and won the support of the world, including Saudi Arabia.
India must think twice before firing a shot against Pakistan, as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice stated, "We don't need something that will set off unintentional consequences."
It is India's right to defend its national integrity and the security of its citizens. The recent attack in Mumbai is the second major terrorist assault on Indian soil that was backed by Pakistani terrorists. These terrorists must be stopped. The free world must put pressure on Pakistan to handover these cold blooded terrorists and their evil sponsors. If Pakistan fails to comply, then the free world must support India's rights to go after the terrorists like the United States did in Afghanistan.
The leftists and the right wing in India are united in accusing USA and Israelis of a hand20in the Mumbai tragedy. This is nothing short of a red herring to confuse the common man to win the election. America was the victim of Islamic terrorists therefore we declared the war on terror, not against Islam. We honor every faith and welcome all with open arms. Please don't antagonize the friendly people of America, India needs the help of the United States to fight and win India's 9/11.
It is high time for democratic Pakistan to prove to the free world that they are not part of this ongoing terrorism and are committed to the war on terror. Who helped the terrorists to attain employment at the Taj hotel? Was it Americans or Israelis? Please don't blame America for your Home Ministry's colossal failure. The United States notified Indian officials of possible attacks in advance; in spite of the forewarning, Indian officials failed to take action. While Mumbai was burning, the Indian opposition was more focused in securing political gain out of the national tragedy
It is high time for Indians to unite and stand up as one nation, one people, irrespective of caste or religion to defend the motherland.
God bless India,
Raju Charles
