in the end comes the truth! the doctor will reserve his advise for those he considers sick, not those who really are sick or even victims of his profession. heard of iatrogenesis? mayawati has guts. she can collect funds openly and also tell us how much she has collected. that murder may or may not ahve anything to do with the collection drive but obviuosly doctors arrive at a diagnosis before the court has tried a case. don't even want to argue with such people. mayawati, does not take funds from corporate houses and act as their brokers the way many politicians do. no need to name anyone. many murders have been committed in those murky waters including those of trade union leaders, sometimes by state actors sometimes by non-state actors. nobody screams condemnation. look what this PM has done. when he was finance minister we had harshad mehta. now we have raju brothers (here we have his confession so we can assume he was truly guilty thought the court will weigh the evidence later). this PM contested election from assam using all kinds of ruses, there are so many things a list would be long enough to fill a book.......... but nobody will point to his moral corruption. shows your bias, right? all that condemnation is reserved for mayawati. why? look inwards. it is trendy to condemn mayawati in the name of supporting dalits or the dalit cause. actually it seems they can't bear the fact that a dalit is now standing on her own shoulder to shoulder with many top names and many of those are known to be more corrupt than she is said to be. and celebrate many things far more ostentatiously but nobody cares. they take pride in it. one last point, brahmins may be with mayawati today. so what is wrong with that? are other parties living in a caste-less paradise? they don't have caste calculations? if mayawati wants to become PM what is wrong? is that seat reserved for some few families in india? anjali deshpande
