Your statement that "Caste system is 3000 years old" is itself
debatable.. the authentic documented proofs for caste system is
available only from 18th century.. how can we attribute caste system
to 3000 years old..

As we have discussed earlier, the present caste system is only 200
years old..

Before that there were only jaati system..
(The caste system and jaati system are different in its underlying
structure and objectives)..

We also need to consider the prevailing political structure, social
environment, if we are going to form any opinion on caste system..

Incidently, many of the present SC caste are once the rulers, and
their status is largely attributed to mughal/muslim invasion..

Secondly, prior British invasion, India was richest nation, and hence
there is enough resources to feed all the people..

The forgotten empire of Vijayanagara was one of the most riches
country during 12th century, documented by portugese travellers..

So, in any way, we have to understand the caste system / jaati system
at different point of times, and its NOT appropriate to term it as
3000 years old..
