Dear Dr. Thakur: As per the provisions of the RTI Act, if there is a delay in furnishing information, the SIC verdict seems to be agreeing to that, then you don't have to pay anything for the information to be provided. The SIC also agrees that information has not been provided on time and there is no reason for this irresponsible Act. In that case there is a provision in the Act vide which the recalcitrant officer could be fined a penalty not exceeding Rs.25,000. The SIC should hand over that verdict. Souparna Lahiri
