Hey Sony,
if the west portrays poverty, indian spirituality, babas (mostly fakes), unhygenic living conditions it is a slap (!)...when u think of western world what do u think, half naked girls, dollars, easy life, racism...what should they call it or rather we call it.... If a movie gets an award based on Mumbai slums, it hurts. Then why dont u and likes of u do one thing...remove the poverty in your area..see if u have the guts to do it.... People will portray what befits them. When u go to see Taj mahal you may look at it...but the crap behind it. Others who see that are awarded coz as a society we tolerate such inhuman crap around beautiful structure. Thats the "beauty" people talk about..co-existence of shit and posh houses. If u dont like it, take a hike or rectify. Those who know India need not be impressed. Those who want to get impressed of the poverty, you can't impress them with India's goodness. But remember, its India's goodness that comes out...in the end. You may live in a poor place but celebrate all occassions with so much energy.
