Dear Ahmad Bhai,
I am a free thinking individual who accepts the unity of all faiths and will pray to Ishwar, Allah, Jehovah and God with equal reverence. I have (and still do) visit the temples, churches, mosques/dargahs and gurudwaras and have read the scriptures of all religions.
I am of mixed Christian-Dawoodi Bohra birth.
Are you secular enough to bow before all versions of God ?
Or like the typical Muslim do you cling only to your pet Islamic theory of the extra-cosmic God (Allah) who creates out of nothing while denying equal status to all other faiths?
I have read the Quran on dozens of occasions and each time I read it I am dumbstruck with the naked discrimination, hate, murder, abuses and fiction it preaches.
Are these really the words of Hazrat Muhammad? I doubt it.
The world according to the present version of the Quran to begin with is divided into "believers" and "non-believers". This sets the tone for confrontation. What follows is pure hate against anyone who questions the veracity of its "revelations".
See, to your credulous and non-critical mind it may sound "wonderful" and the "absolute truth" that an "invisible angel" (Jibril) one fine day appeared to Muhammad and revealed to him second hand, superficial, err-filled information of how the extra-cosmic god (Allah) said "Be" and somehow or the other the materials and forces needed to produce the cosmos appeared out of nothing and that how this extra-cosmic god (who has no causal connection with anything) not only somehow or the other succeeded in manufacturing the universe out of nothing but also has the "power" of manipluating it like puppet on string from his extra-cosmic lair. This is typical dualistic fairytales.
This flawed cosmological account itself should have opened your eyes to the fiction that this Book contains.
Critically speaking, if I ask you what exactly do you mean by an "angel" will the Quran or you be able to answer me giving sound reasonings and supporting evidence? Obviously not.
Of what materials and forces is an angel (or the extra-cosmic heavens) constitued of and in keeping with the law of Unity underlying variety how do these materials and forces connect with gross matter ?
Any answers?
Neither can the Quran nor you can answer such a fundamental query and anyway to believe in creation out of nothing by a fictitious extra-cosmic god (Allah) who has no causal connection with anything is pure irrationality and shows the "believers" in a very poor light.
Allah is a pre-Islamic god that was worshipped by the early Arabs together with his 3 daughters Al Lat, Al Uzza and Al Mannath in the Kaaba Shrine.
Incidentally, Allah and Kaaba are original Sanskrit words....
All that Muhammad did was to reject the other pagan gods of the Arabs but he retained Allah minus his 3 three daughters and after smashing the images of the other gods in the Kaaba he installed the phallic, aniconic stone (that resembles a Shiv Linga) as the chief symbol of Islam and therafter proceeded to hug, kiss and weep over the Kaaba Stone which Muslims emulate during the Hajj
And much more.....
Yes, Christianity, especially portions of the Old Testament, preach violence against non-believers which the naive Christian Church put into practice in medieval times but since the Age of Enlightenment dawned in the West, Christians have largely drawn away from discrimination against people of other faiths which is evident in the secular, democratic, tolerant, free thinking republics they've set up. With Islam the situation is getting worse with each passing month. Which Islamic theocracy is secular or free thinking?
In Goa , the Portuguese St Francis Xavier was the devil incarnate who was a fanatical butcher but ironically the Catholic Church venerates him as a saint !!!
The Church won't discard the sadistic teachings of the Old Testament that were preached by immatured and third rate mystics like Abraham (Ibrahim), Moses (Musa) and others who knew less but who were tall talkers and as such had loose tongues, yet the majority of the Christians (especially Western Christians) will certainly not favour its (Old Testament's) divisive and hate teachings against non-Christians.
Christians (especially the Western Christians) on the whole are more rational, willing to apologise and open to correction than say the Muslims who're stuck up with the gibberish of the present version of the Quran and by following its teachings and clinging to it they're harming themselves even more from the spirituo-psycho-emotional-moral-physical-social-economic perspectives....
But, mind you, Providence that has already straitjacketed the Muslim Ummah by relegating them to the bottom of the heap in all constructive endeavours will act in more drastic ways against Islam and the vast majority of Muslims who're in-bred, hypogamous and demonically driven maniacs. I expect their complete downfall in 3 or 4 years from now.
Besides, the Quran speaks very lowly of apostates, free thinkers who question its claims and advocates barbarism against non-Muslims especially those who venerate symbols or images or who set up other versions of God. As for its diatribe against Christians and Jews, well, it calls these communities "apes" and "pigs".
All this is verifiable.
So, what's your grouse?
The present version of the Quran is a very unpalatable book to secular, free thinking, intellectually oriented inividuals with a conscience.
Is this the reason why every year lakhs of conscientious Muslims quit Islam according to Al Jazeera?
The Muslim population is growing primarily due to very high fertility rates.
By the way all those Quranic ayats of "love", "peace", "caring", "brotherhood", "equality" etc that you've typed at the end of your message is meant to be shared exclusively among Muslims but with respect to the "kafirs" (Non-Muslims) it is derision, hate, subjugation, violence and abuses "until religion is only for Allah".
Best Regards,
Dr A K Isaacs
